Happy Birthday!

So today is my Birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! I am now 24 years old. Here are a few interesting facts about me. I was born in the same hospital that I gave birth to Sarah in. I am allergic to pine oil, so no real Christmas trees for us. I am also allergic to carrots and sometimes cucumbers, and sometimes pineapple, oranges and cantaloupe. I think it just depends on the time of year. Anyway, I am a social worker, I have my license, but never have had a paying job in the field. I love to read, play the piano and sing. I would LOVE to be a foster parent of children 0-5 until my kids are grown and then I wouldn't mind being a foster parent to any age. I would love to serve a mission. I LOVE board games and chick flicks! I Love disney and for my birthday present/vacation we are going to DISNEYWORLD! I am SO excited. We saved some of our money from the sell of our condo just for this occasion. We are going April 26th and will be back May 4th, so Caroline I will be out of town from April 26th through May 4th. We are therefore spending our days watching Disney movies and taking walks with Sarah so that she will be able to walk some of the time, another reason for the lease mentioned earlier. My parents are going to go with us, which is going to be great! Anyway, so there you have it, I am getting older, and hopefully wiser too, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY to me! Oh, and if everyone wouldn't mind telling me when their birthday's are so that I can put them in a calendar and remember them, that would be awesome!

Chad and the MTC

Well Chad is now Elder Thompson and is spending his days in the MTC. I am so excited for him. My parents already got a letter and he is doing great. He is loving his companion and is really excited about being a missionary. He entered the MTC on Wednesday of last week and it was really neat to be there with him. Sarah was so good, and there were only a few tears shed. And I have to say that I really enjoyed it, my Mom said that it was harder than sending Nate off, but for Nate they just took him to the airport-he went to the MTC in Brazil. But seeing as they wouldn't let any of us kids go with them, this was my first experience on sending a missionary off, and I thought that it was very nice and really exciting. He left his wallet at my house so I had to drop by the MTC a little later and took him some cookies, well they had to be shipped to him, but BYU Mailing sends the first MTC package for free, so it worked out. I'll see if I can get some pictures from my sister. So pictures to come later!

Updates on Sarah

No, nothing is wrong with her, I just thought that you would all enjoy some of the new things she can do, her tricks as we call them. She now knows what a cow, dog, cat, frog, duck, snake, and train say. She calls the car "bye-bye" and is really enjoying her front facing car seat-Oh and I don't think I told the story of that. So on the drive back from Boise Sarah was still a little sick, and of course she had a blowout 5 miles outside of Mountain Home. We pulled off at the first exit and spent a few minutes at the gas station there to clean her up, Creed did it in the Men's room, and I helped, you should have seen the look on the faces of the men who opened the door and saw me there, it was actually a little funny. Then we went to the Wal-Mart and bought her a new car seat-we could wash the old seat cover and dry it so we figured the ox was in the mire. We also decided that since her old car seat had been through 3 kids, and the oldest is 5, that it had reached it's expiration date, so we just left it by a garbage can. I think that she might be 20lbs, but really I don't know, so I hope that she is! She is also so much more loving! She wonders the house calling for Mommy or Daddy, and I love that she calls for me, she used to just call for Creed. She says her own prayers, not sure what she says, but she kneels and folds her arms and starts jabbering and then says Amen. She loves playing with kids, or any age and size. On Sunday she walked the halls with the 4 year old that lives behind us. And as I am typing she is chasing Ryan around the basement. She is such a JOY! I actually tried to do her hair, I think it turned out pretty good! Reason why we didn't call the Barbers while we were in Boise, this is what she looked like the whole time!

Bridal Shower

KRISTEN GREEN is getting married! YEAH! There was a bridal shower for her this weekend and I had a lot of fun! Caroline and I and her mother got her a present and hung out most of the time at the shower. It was a lot of fun and I am so excited for the wedding, though I will not be able to attend the actual wedding, which I have to let everyone know something really funny about not being able to go. I have only made it to one of my friend's wedding receptions-can anyone guess which one it was? LANELLE"S! Which I guess I could say is the only important one, since that is where I met my amazing husband. I guess life is funny that way!

Wheeler Farm

We made another visit to Wheeler Farm. Elizabeth wanted to do something fun with Sarah while she was still on her break, she teaches at an all-year round school and Friday was her last day of break. Anyway, we thought that it would be a lot of fun now that Sarah knows what the animals say. Sarah LOVES animals and is not afraid in the least bit. She tried to climb under a bench to see if she could get at the ducks and geese. Then while visiting the baby cow she stuck her hand right into the pen and touched the cow's nose, then she wanted to hold my hand, I have to say that I think that runny noses are gross and especially on animals and then it was on her hand, EWWW, but I still held her hand. She loved the sheep and thought that the horse was interesting. She probably would have tried to touch it if the fence had had big enough holes. The really funny thing that she did on the trip was to pick up a rock and carry it around. Then she would drop it and say "oh no!" Then as we walked across a wooden bridge with slats and holes she dropped the rock. It fell right down into the hole underneath. She layed on her belly, looked down the hole, and said, "oh, no! Where's go?!" We didn't find the rock, but we found a different one that she took to Grandma's house. On a side note, we got her a leash, but it is a fun one with a puppy backpack, and she loves it, just in case you are wondering what is on her in the pictures. Anyway, here are a few pictures!

Merry Easter

I have always thought that instead of Happy Easter we should say Merry Easter, mostly because I like the link to Christmas. Our Easter this year was AWESOME. We spent the morning getting ready for church, Sarah slept in till 9-which was wonderful-my parents stopped by on their way back to Boise-they were spending some time with Nate and his family in California-as a side note, they said that LEGO Land is not worth the money. Then we went to church which is getting better and better-mostly Sarah is starting to not need to be wrestled so much so I actually get to listen to Sacrament meeting. I also really enjoyed being in the ward choir, we sang two songs that someone in our ward wrote and they were both really inspiring. Primary was great! I have been having a bit of a hard time with my calling and meshing with the Presidency and trying to figure out if I should ask to be released, but after talking with my amazing husband and praying I decided to do what I wanted to do the first Sunday of the month with our new song. We are learning the song If the Savior Stood Beside Me, and on a website that I get some ideas from I found one where you have the children stand in a circle and they close their eyes and you sing the song with someone walks and stands next to each child. It brought the spirit of the song into the room and the primary president was so great to me. Then on the way to Murray the Primary President called to let me know that the annual Stake Primary Meeting this week is all on teaching the songs, so I guess that is an answer to my prayers, I am still suppose to be the Primary Chorister, and I am once again really excited about the calling! In Murray we had a great time, we had dinner together with Ben and Ali-Ben's girlfriend, EmmaLee and Dino-EmmaLee's boyfriend, Ellen, Shirl and Elizabeth. It was really great because Ben goes to school in Oklahoma and we don't get to see him or his wonderful girlfriend every often. Plus getting to hang out with EmmaLee and Dino is also very fun. After dinner we played outside for a little bit, Ellen showed us her amazing soccer skills in a fun game of juggle the soccer ball-a little like hackie sack. Dino was really good and so was Creed, EmmaLee and I found that the knee works best. Sarah had a blast with the kitty and the rocks. Then we did dishes, well Ali and Ben did dishes, and then we played a game. It was such a great day! Then we went and visited with Grandma and Grandpa Larsen and Creed's aunt Lonnie and uncle Rob showed up, which it was really good to hear that Brad is sort of doing better. (Side note, Brad is Sarah's brother, not our Sarah but the one that we named Sarah after. Anyway, they have a disease that hits around puberty and shuts down all of their organs. Sarah died before we got married- in fact we have often felt like she was the one pushing us to get together-long story. Anyway, Brad her brother is not doing very well, but I guess he is starting to do a little better). Then we watched a movie, Dan in Real Life, which is actually a very funny movie, and one that I would recommend!
