Sarah's Corner

For all of those out there that have children I am sure that you can relate. Sarah has taken over this corner in our house. Here you can find most of her books, her chew toys (no she isn't a dog just a teething baby), her stuffed animals, all the DVD's that we own, her blanket, diapers, wipes, diaper rash medicine etc. Every night I clean it up and put everything away and yet every morning after she has been up for 30 min. everything is back out. Here is a picture of her in her corner.

Backpacking

Last weekend Creed and his brother Ben went backpacking in the Unitah mountains, on the Notch Mountain trail. They seemed to have had a blast. Here are some pictures. And sorry, I can't figure out how to get the pictures to rotate, they are correct when I add them.

Family Pictures

For those of you who read Caroline's blog, I decided that I would post three of the family photos that she took for us. Can I tell you that I love working with someone who knows us so that we can get these really awesome shots. Plus it is a lot of fun! So here are just a few. Thanks Caroline!

Lagoon Day

Yesterday we had the special treat of going to Lagoon with Creed's family. Valerie is in the "On Broadway" show that happens in the evenings and she was able to get us some really cheap tickets. We had a blast and the show was great. Sarah took one nap the whole day, but didn't really cry to much. She really loves being outside. She also really loved Lagoon-a-beach. Here are a few pictures!

I love rollercoasters and so I was really excited about going, last time Creed and I went to Lagoon was the middle of October last year and Sarah was born two weeks later. So being able to ride a roller coaster was great fun, and the new one, Wicked, is great! I am not a huge fan of the white roller coaster, a little too jerky for my tastes. Sarah did learn a new trick yesterday. We have this camelback and she watched me drink out of it and decided that she wanted to as well. Here is a picture of this new trick.

We all had a great day and by the end we were all pooped. Here is a few pictures of Sarah sleeping in her stroller.

Oh what fun it is!

I love being a Mom and I love spending time watching my little one learn. Her new trick this week is that she waves! So I guess it is time to buy Baby Signs and teach her how to sign to me so that she doesn't always have to cry! Lately she is a cryer. I don't know if any of your kids were like this, but she is what I call a perpetual teether, a tooth is always trying to come in and so she it seems like she is always crying. But she doesn't like to sleep during the day, she only takes two naps. One that is an hour long if I am lucky and another that is two hours long, if I am lucky. But she really is the cutest thing. She loves to be outside and in the car and the bath. Well I haven't posted any pictures for a while, so I thought that I would do that today.

This last weekend was a pretty good one. I watched Caroline and Michael's little one Ryan while they went to the temple on Saturday morning. It really was a lot of fun and he is the smartest little boy I think that I have ever met, um.....yep the smartest one! He and Sarah had fun at the park that is in our little neighborhood, until it got to hot, then all Ryan could say is "hot, hot, hot!" So we knew it was time to go home. Then later that night Creed and I went to a wedding reception and on the way we played the question game. It is a game that I made up while we were dating long distantly to make our conversations a little more fun. It is played by asking a question and then he askes a question and you both have to answer the question that you asked, it is actually a pretty good learning game and we really enjoy it. Sunday was a pretty good day, had fun in primary and then planned a lot of what I am going to be doing for the rest of this month and making games for the rest of the year. I really do enjoy my calling! We also spent some time in Murray. Sarah really loves her grandparents and aunts and uncles.

July already?!?

I can't believe that it is already July, though it is pretty hot here in Springville. This week has been a busy one, getting John all settled in, writing a talk, and of course the 4th of July. We also had our family pictures taken, thanks Caroline! Our fourth of July started out with family pictures, followed by a birthday breakfast for Creed's Mom. Then everyone decided that they wanted to go see a movie, half went to Transformers and the rest went and saw Ratatouille. I don't have a ton of interest in Transformers so we went and saw Ratatouille, which is a great movie and I highly recommend it. Then the rest of the week was spent helping baby soothe her little teeth, I can't believe how much pain it is to cut teeth, and how cranky she can become. But then again she is way cute and trying so many new things. The other day we went into her room to get her out of her crib and she was standing up and teething on the wood part of her crib. Everyday for her is now spent trying to stand or crawl with her feet and hands, which doesn't really work, but she still tries. She mastered kneeling the other day and it was really fun to see her get so excited about being able to kneel on her own. John is all moved in and almost situated. He is also all registered for classes and still looking for a job, so if anyone knows of a job down here in Springville we would really appreciate the heads up. So far he has been a great help. He told me about these teething tablets and let me tell you they have been lifesavers! Before them we were just using Motrin and it worked, but she was still way cranky and crying a lot. But these teething tablets are wonderful, they take away the pain so that she can sleep, which is way nice. So thanks to John! Creed is doing great and is being a wonderful husband as always. I just love him!
