More funny sayings

So in case anyone wanted to know Sarah is apparently going to get married tonight in the temple to Prince Derek (from The Swan Princess) and then she is going to dance. Usually the next thing that comes out of her mouth is, "Hurry Momma, we need to get a dress to dance in!"

Sarah uses some different language for a two year old, such as the word Grandparents. She wanders the house and "fixes" things up for when her grandparents come and she says it just like that, "this is for when my grandparents come, Momma."

She also knows the difference between the two sets of grandparents and will say the following, "Dad it is your mom that is coming, not Mom's mom." What two year old knows the difference?!?

While playing with an old cell phone the other day Creed and I heard the following, "Imagination movers, do you have a situation that needs imagination?" We laughed for a while with that one!

A fun little challenge!

Okay I am trying to get in on the coupon craziness that is apparently running rampant! So since I have decided to do this I found a site that is even going to motivate me further. I am going to share it with all of you and hopefully it will help everyone to figure out the coupon game. The site is http://www.stretchingabuckblog.com and then you can go from there. The challenge is to spend $25 a person per week on your groceries for a month (this includes eating out, but doesn't count what you already have or your garden produce!). I think that it could be fun! Anyway, I will be posting some sites that I am finding that will help with this. So here we go!

Finally I am back to creating!

So this weekend I also had a little bit of time to sit and create, which it has been a while since I have felt like doing this and so I was really excited to get down and play with paper! So here are a few creations! This is a layout that I will be doing as a workshop in July This is a layout that you can do with left overs from the July workshop This is a layout about Sarah and Shirl. Sarah is silly goose and Shirl is goofus. The silly goose says Honk and the goofus says Duh! Just something cute and amazing that the two of them have!

Funny Sayings

So here are some funny sayings from this weekend.

Creed told me more of one I have already shared, but this makes it even more funny, so here is the WHOLE story! Creed walked into the bathroom where Sarah was taking a bath and she had been throwing her toys out of the tub and making a big mess, to which Creed got down on her level and said, "Sarah we don't do that and you know better!" To which Sarah grabbed his shoulders and said, "Daddy, you have to keep an open mind!" See doesn't that make it even funnier! It makes me laugh!

This weekend I took Sarah to Fred Meyer to get something for Creed for Father's Day, which didn't end up happening, but this is the way the conversation went. Me: what do you want to get dad for Father's Day? Sarah: Not Father's day mom, Sarah day! Me: How about some socks or a tie? Sarah: Oh sure!. Then when we got to the store and my mom was with us and got sarah a my little pony, and a store lady gave her a sample of chicken Sarah said: Daddy already has socks and a tie. So, how about I just show him my pony and my chicken, yes that is a good idea. Not Father's day, Sarah Day!" So from Sarah Creed got to look at her pony and her chicken."

We went to the mall with my parents and Creed and I were looking for a new outfit for me (no I didn't find one) and my parents took the girls up to the food court. Sarah then informed them that she was bery hungry and that she needed chicken nuggets. My parents then got the apple slices for her instead of the french fries, to which she asked, Where are the fries? Since she didn't have french fries she dipped her apple slices in ketchup-not the carmel sauce that came with the meal!?! Silly child!.

Happy Father's Day!

So we had a wonderful Father's Day here at our house and hope that everyone else had a great day as well. So my parents ended up at our house, it was another surprise, only this time they came up Saturday so we had some time to spend with them. I LOVED it and so did they. Madalynn loved it as well, she was held constantly, which then resulted in her not wanting to sleep last night by herself and Creed finally giving in when I started to cry and so was she and let her sleep in our bed. It was actually kind of fun this morning to wake up to Sarah, and Madalynn in bed with me (no Sarah did not sleep with us, she just got up in the morning and joined me before saying, THE SUNS AWAKE MOM! Meaning why are you still in bed!?!). Anyway, I just love my husband and think that I might just have the best husband in the world. He is the best of father's. I LOVE IT! He is pretty patient with Sarah and loves to hold Madalynn. He loves to share information that he gathers with everyone he meets. Believe me he has gained a ton of new information in the last months and is really excited about sharing with everyone. I should have him post sometime so that everyone can get the whole effect. Anyway, this last weekend Sarah kept going to Creed and saying, "Dad will you play with me?" To which he always replied, "Yes, what should we play?" It was cars, tea party and pony. And yes two of those are pure girl things and he played anyway, I have pictures to prove the playing pony and yes I will share! So here are a few pictures of the weekend!

Funny Sayings

So here are a few of Sarah's funny sayings from this last week.

"Daddy, you have to have an open mind."

"Daddy, can you see my eyes, look, right here!" (We usually have to ask Sarah to look at our eyes when we are trying to tell her something.)

"When daddy comes home he will want to go bowling, yes, I think that that is a good idea! Let's go bowling Mom!"

Answers

Sometimes in life I go around feeling like I am just not getting answers to prayers. I sometimes feel like I am praying and praying and contemplating and nothing. In fact I have been feeling this way over the last couple of months with regards to our house. We feel like we have done everything we can to sell the thing and it just isn't selling (WAY too many foreclosures and short sales in the neighborhood-I think ours is the only legitimate sale). We have tried the renting thing, but apparently no one wants to rent our house either. Creed and I were feeling like we just wanted to stop making payments and to move on (we would really like to be adding money to our savings account, not taking money out!), but we felt like that might not be honest. Plus we are starting to feel like we can't afford two house payments (though the one we live in we are renting, it feels the same). So you can see our little dilemma and how we just are not sure what to do. So we have just been praying to know what to do and to have Him help us make a good and informed decision. But like I said haven't received a whole lot of answers, though we should probably make a decision and pray afterwards. Anyway, I was studying my scriptures the other night with my husband (reading the material for this last week's Sunday School lesson) and came across a scripture that was not in the lesson material and not even related to the lesson at all, but I was stopped by what it said and by what I had written next to the verse. Doctrine and Covenants 136:25, "If thou borrowest of thy neighbor (banker), thou shalt restore that which thou has borrowed; and if thou canst not repay then go straightway and tell they neighbor, lest he condemn thee." In my margins I had written, "Be Honest." After reading this I started to cry (hormones+the spirit=crybaby!) here was the answer, and it had been in my scriptures the whole time, go figure.

Then today I was studying the Book of Mormon, with some help from a book, The Book of Mormon Made Easier (which I highly recommend because of the amazing insights the author gives) and I came across this, and I am just going to paraphrase, talking about 1 Nephi chapter 3 the author said that there was a very important lesson (one that I am learning!) and that is that even though we are on the Lord's errand it doesn't mean that all obstacles are going to be removed from our path. Reason being is that our time on this Earth is to learn and to grow and if all obstacles were removed we would be deprived of much of our education. So I am writing today to tell you that the Lord does answer prayers, and that sometimes we need to go to the scriptures for those answers (I had forgotten this!). I also have a testimony that the Lord loves each and every one of us and that the trials that we go through are for our good, even though it doesn't feel like it sometimes! I am so grateful for the education that I have received thus far and am glad that the Lord lets me having these learning opportunities. I am also really grateful for the gospel and for the knowledge that it gives me. What a wonderful time to live!

Loving Life, but missing family

So I just went through and read all the blogs listed on my blog and even visited a few other of Creed's extended family's blogs and then started to tear up. Why one would ask, I have come up with a few reasons: 1. I just had a baby and hormones are still running a little wild! and 2. I miss FAMILY! Elizabeth was here all last week, which was amazing, she cooked, cleaned, played with Sarah, held Madalynn and was just amazing! I would have lost it last week if she hadn't been here, Creed was sick for the beginning, Sarah had a fever of 104 and an infected toe which you could see the infection moving up her leg and consequently meant a trip to the ER. Then you add my healing and it was just a fun beginning of a week with a new little one. Needless to say Elizabeth was a angel and I cried for a while after she left. Sunday was spent talking with my family and making me miss them. Everyone is spread out, Kirsten and Cam are in New York, Nate and Shelli in California, Chad in Utah and my parents in Idaho. It just makes me miss the days that we all lived close to each other and could spend Sunday afternoons talking and laughing and eating. It also makes me miss Saturday mornings when Creed and I would decide to drive to Salt Lake to hang out with the Larsens for the day. I miss getting together with the Larsens over at Grandma's house and catching up with Creed's cousins on life. I really just miss FAMILY. So to whatever family reads this know that we love and MISS YOU!

Madalynn Elizabeth is here!

Yup our little new bundle of joy is here and she is perfect! She arrived on Friday the 29th at 1:23 pm. She was 6 lbs and 11 oz, so 5 more oz than Sarah was and she is 19.5 inches, which is .5 more than Sarah was. We have taken a ton of photos, but if you have been reading this blog the problem with finding the camera cord is still a problem so instead you can go to www.our365.com and then look us up, the baby's birthday is the 29th of May, we live in Battle Ground and I hope you all know the first few letters of my last name. Then the password is 81051267758704. She is so cute and we are just so thankful and excited to be a family of four! Elizabeth, Creed's mom, is here to help which is amazing! Sarah loves being a big sister, though she woke up a ton in the night with a cold and she doesn't feel amazing today, but she loves her Madalynn.
