Doctor fun

Okay, sorry I haven't posted recently but I have been a little under the weather, and let's see no one is surprised right? Last Thursday, the 15th, started like any other day, get in the shower and get ready for the day, well while getting in the shower I started to have some pain. 15 min later I was on the floor of my bathroom waiting for Creed to come and save the day. He took me to the ER where they gave me pain meds and tried to tell me that the pain was caused by menstrual cramps-let's just say that I was furious that that was the ending conclusion, but they said if I was still in pain in 12 hours that I had to come back. So Friday at 6:00, 16 hours later, found us in the ER again. Where they ran some more tests and this doctor said that if the CT scan came back normal that I needed to see my OBGYN for possible endometriosis. Then he gave me some pain meds and sent me home. I have since been on the mend, meaning laying on the couch for the most part and praying that I get better fast. I am feeling better today and am very excited that I was able to get an appointment with my ever busy OBGYN this week, I called at the end of March and was told this was the earliest I could get in and that I was lucky because someone before me had called and canceled their appointment-otherwise I was looking at July! Anyway, I do have a few cousins with endometriosis, and they say it might be genetic. If I do have it it would explain why Creed and I can't seem to get pregnant and why I am in pain, and have horrible periods. I just hope that my doctor can solve this problem. So while I have been down Creed took last Friday off and then took Sarah to his mothers on Saturday. We picked her up on Monday and I have taken care of her in the mornings, thank goodness she loves showers and Playhouse Disney. Creed gets her lunch and puts her down and then when she wakes up Creed is home from work, I love his schedule! The ward has brought meals and I am happy to report that today I am finally feeling a lot better, meaning on a scale of 1-10 I am at a 3.5, which compared to the 7s all week is wonderful. Now I just have to take it easy and not over do it. Anyway, HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY to one and all! Hope you all have a great weekend!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

I had a wonderful Mother's Day and hope that all of you mother's out there had a wonderful day as well. My sister had some time and was able to spend Saturday and Sunday with us, which was a wonderful surprise (she called Thursday, or Friday to see if she could play with us). We went shopping and hung out and then visited with Pete and Ben Goodro, Happy Birthday guys! They are Creed's buds from high school. Then I got my mother's day present, drum roll please, a Wii! I am very excited about it and was very excited about it. Creed and I have been trying to get one after we played Lanelle and Ryan's when they first came out. He finally found one and I was so surprised! It was very unexpected. I will have to say that my Mother's Day was a little sad, it was Sarah's first time in the nursery. She did better than I did, and loved playing with the kids, she kept saying kids all evening. Then we drove up to Murray and hung out with Creed's family. All in all it was a great day and I am so thankful for my Sarah girl and my husband. They are both two of the most amazing people I know.

18 months!

Sarah turned 18 months old while we were on our vacation and boy has she grown up! She learns new words everyday and is starting to speak in sentences. No more, "wate, wate, wate!" instead she says, "want more wate" and then she will say "Peas!" She is running and today she started wanting to walk down the stairs all by herself. She will no longer hold my hand. Yesterday she went into her room and laid down for a nap, I walked by a little later and she was asleep. We had her appointment on Monday and she is finally 20 lbs. Let's all say YEAH together! She can now legally sit facing forward in her carseat-we have been illegal for a few months now. (I am blushing about it right now). She is a good little eater, loves veggies and most fruits. She loves playing with other children, no matter how old. Yesterday she followed Ryan around the house to give him hugs, oh it was way cute. Anyway, nursery is coming this Sunday and I hope she does wonderfully. At least she will be able to communicate with the leaders. PS:) I forgot to mention that she now sings, all day long. Her favorite songs to sing are Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and I have a Little Duck. Her other favorites seem to be Feeling Good with JoJo and the theme song to The Little Einsteins.

Disney Vacation Tips

Okay so if looking through my blog made you think, I want to take my kids to DisneyWorld here are a few money saving tips.

1. Save your money and go, it really is a blast!

2. Get a Disney Visa. Why you might ask, here are the reasons, charge the vacation to it and no interest for 6 months, and you get 1% back in disney dollars, plus you sometimes get a free gift with your first purchase. So we left our house with a $15 gift card for our first purchase, and $72 in Disney dollars because we used the card. I LOVE FREE MONEY! Plus with a Disney visa we get emails about once a month with good deals, like this time we didn't have to pay for our park hopper, or to go to a water park if we had wanted to, and some other fun things at downtown disney. Also you get 10% of your purchase off $50 or more at the World of Disney store in downtown disney. And like mentioned before in Epcot you get a special room to see Mickey and Pluto in, plus a free 5x7.

3. Kids are free to eat and play if they are under 3 years old.

4. Stay on Disney property so that you can get the Dining Plan. Food is expensive in the parks, between $15-20 dollars per meal, just for a counter meal. With the dining plan we got 1 counter meal per person per day that we were sleeping there, plus 1 snack per day per person and one sit down meal per person per day. The counter meals are quite large, so we shared one for breakfast plus used a snack, and then we shared one for either lunch or dinner depending on when we had our sit down meal. The sit down meals, if we had had to pay for them, would have been $70-100. CRAZY! Each counter meal came with a drink, entree and dessert, meaning two drinks for breakfast, and the sit down came with a drink, entree and dessert as well. The dining plan only cost about $100 more per person on our ticket price, this equals a good deal! Plus we stayed in a value resort, which was nice enough. My parents stayed in a moderate resort and got better food and a little more room, but we all enjoyed the stay.

5. Stay on Disney property so you don't have to rent a car. They pick you up at the airport and drop you off when your stay is done. Plus they bus you anywhere you want to go on Disney property.

6. If you want to, you can listen to why it would be a good idea to become a Disney Club Member and get more free money. We sat for the presentation, which is no pressure, really it was, and we got free ice cream and 3 more gift cards worth $15, one for me and one for Creed and one for Sarah. More FREE MONEY!

7. Get a book on Disneyworld, my parents did and let us borrow it, it was amazing. It helps us plan what to do and when to go places and what restaurants were good etc. WAY GOOD INFO!

8. There are four parks, but unless you are the only people there, you will need more than four days. We were in the parks for seven and still didn't get everything done, but hey, I guess we left stuff for the next visit!

Our Last Day

So for our last day, sniff sniff, we went to Epcot in the morning, after packing most of our things, and visited the rest of the country's, which once again, I only got pictures of the first day, so we didn't get pictures of America, China, Mexico, or Norway. Then it was lunch time and then Creed, Sarah and I went to the special Disney Visa room and met Mickey and Pluto for the last time. Then we rode Spaceship Earth again and Sarah fell asleep, so we put her in the stroller and wheeled her over to Magic Kingdom for some last minute shopping and we watched the little show that they put on in front of the castle and just sort of took it easy. Then we had dinner with Pooh, Piglet, Tigger and Eeyore, who didn't make it to our table till we had left, but here are the last Disney vacation pictures, sniff sniff.

Morning Magic and Hollywood night

So once again we headed over to Magic Kingdom to see if we could ride Splash Mountain, and Thunder Mountain. Were we able to ride both along with the train, and Buzz, the Transit Authority-people mover, Space Mountain, and the Carousel of Progress. All of which was tons of fun. We also rode Pirates again. While Creed and I rode Splash Mountain-which we were in the front and got totally soaked, Sarah played in this little playground with my parents. She loved it and was so sad when we had to move on. Then we had nap time, and dinner at my parent's hotel. Afterwhich we headed over to Hollywood Studios so that we could see Fantasmic-the only evening show that we saw, we were all pretty tired every night and Sarah got pretty cranky on bus rides. Anyway, here a few pictures, the first are of Sarah saying hi to Mickey and letting us all know that she saw him even though he was on top of a building. The rest are of us waiting for Fantasmic to start. and there is one of Sarah putting Mickey to bed, go figure.

Even More Magic Kingdom

On the fifth day we ended up at Magic Kingdom again in the morning, we found you could get more done if you were there in the morning. We rode Buzz again, saw Mike from Monsters at the Laugh floor, and fastpassed Space Mountain for when my parents arrived, and then we drove on the Speedway, Sarah thought this was tons of fun, I can't blame her, she got to drive a car at 18 months! WOW! Then we headed over to Toon Town Fair, which is just a place to stand in line to see Mickey and Minnie, which we had already seen and didn't feel like standing in a 45 min line for each character, so we headed over to a place to eat. Which is where we met my parents, who had been hanging out in Epcot, where they were recipients of free Mickey ears. Sarah slept in the stroller so we headed over to Epcot to see some of the countries. Here are some pictures, first was Canada, then Britain, then France, followed by Morocco, Japan and Italy. After that we waited for the bus, where Sarah and I had some more fun with the Mickey ears.
